Communications Officer (Content Creator & Social Media) – Lagos
Westfield Consulting Limited is currently recruiting a Communications Officer for one of its clients in Lagos. This full-time role is perfect for a creative professional who thrives at the intersection of content creation, social media management, and strategic communication.
Job Overview
As a Communications Officer, you will craft engaging stories, produce multimedia content, and manage digital platforms that enhance the organization’s brand visibility. You will work closely with the Communications & Branding Manager to execute strategies that resonate with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and campaign materials. Design creative assets like infographics, carousels, and presentations. Produce video content for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Social Media Management: Schedule, publish, and monitor posts across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok. Engage with communities and track performance using tools like Meta Business Suite and Hootsuite.
- Analytics & Optimization: Track engagement, reach, and conversions. Provide monthly reports and optimize for SEO and audience growth.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to deliver content for projects, presentations, and PR events.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years’ experience in content creation, copywriting, or social media management.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or InShot.
- Experience with WordPress, SEO tools (Yoast, SEMrush), and scheduling tools.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Bonus: prior agency experience, viral content creation, or email marketing knowledge.
