About the Role
As a Cook / Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team by assisting in meal preparation, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining smooth daily operations. The role involves working on both local and continental dishes while upholding strict hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking meals, including local and continental dishes
- Wash, peel, and cut ingredients as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space
- Ensure safe storage of food and ingredients
- Assist in serving meals when required
- Adhere to hygiene, safety, and food handling standards
- Support chefs and supervisors with daily kitchen operations
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE, OND, or HND/B.Sc. (Hospitality/Catering certificate is a plus)
- Previous experience as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role is an advantage
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
- Strong organizational and hygiene practices
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
