Job Description
AIBT seeks a creative, versatile and detail-oriented Remote In-House Copywriter to develop compelling content that communicates the organisation’s brand message, supports marketing initiatives and drives audience engagement.
The successful candidate will research, write, edit and proofread content across websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, landing pages and corporate communications. The ideal candidate understands brand voice, audience psychology, SEO and conversion-focused writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Write original content for websites, landing pages, blogs, articles, social media and email campaigns.
- Develop persuasive marketing copy to support lead generation, customer acquisition and conversions.
- Research industry trends, competitors, products, services and target audiences.
- Create engaging headlines, calls to action, promotional messages and campaign concepts.
- Produce SEO-friendly content using relevant keywords, headings and search intent.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across communication channels.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, design and video production teams.
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, accuracy, originality and readability.
- Develop newsletters, promotional emails and customer communication sequences.
- Review available content performance data and recommend improvements.
- Use AI writing tools responsibly, verifying facts and applying human editorial judgement.
- Manage assignments, incorporate feedback and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant copywriting, content writing, journalism or content marketing experience.
- A strong writing portfolio demonstrating quality and versatility.
- Excellent English grammar, spelling, punctuation, storytelling and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of SEO copywriting, keyword research and content optimisation.
- Experience writing marketing copy, web content, social posts and email campaigns.
- Understanding of brand voice, customer psychology, sales funnels and conversion principles.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Google Docs, Microsoft Word and collaborative tools.
- Ability to research, verify information and simplify complex concepts.
- A Bachelor’s degree or HND in English, Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Creative Writing or a related discipline is preferred.
Important: Equivalent practical experience, demonstrated writing ability and a strong portfolio may be considered instead of formal qualifications.
