About the Role
The Head of Agency Banking will oversee strategy, aggregator and agent management, POS infrastructure, performance optimization, and compliance. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who is passionate about financial inclusion and digital transformation across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement national expansion strategies for agency banking.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention of aggregators and sub-agents.
- Manage POS infrastructure, ensuring maximum device uptime and availability.
- Monitor transaction metrics, float balances, and agent activity to optimize performance.
- Ensure full compliance with CBN guidelines and internal risk controls.
- Champion branding, visibility, and financial inclusion initiatives nationwide.
- Lead, coach, and inspire regional agency teams for top-tier performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years’ experience in agency banking, fintech, or retail distribution, with at least 4 years in leadership.
- Strong understanding of POS technology, financial inclusion, and agent network scaling.
- Proven success in managing large field operations and cross-functional leadership.
- Excellent communication, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
