About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our vibrant team. This full-time role requires a blend of culinary expertise, creativity, and leadership to deliver meals that exceed customer expectations while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to company recipes and standards.
- Ensure timely and efficient food preparation to meet customer demand.
- Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff while delegating tasks effectively.
- Plan menus considering seasonality, cost, and customer preferences.
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of ingredients.
- Minimize food waste and maintain cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to create and implement new dishes.
- Inspect kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements (HACCP, NAFDAC, or relevant standards).
Qualifications & Skills
- Culinary degree, diploma, or professional certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
