United Nations Graphic Design Assistant Job – Abuja 2025

The United Nations (UN) is seeking a talented Graphic Design Assistant to join its Resident Coordinator System in Abuja, Nigeria. This role offers a unique opportunity to create powerful visual content that supports global campaigns, from climate action to gender equality, while advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

About the Role

As a Graphic Design Assistant, you’ll craft compelling visuals for UN80 celebrations, exhibitions, and the 16 Days of Activism campaign (November 25–December 10). You will also design banners, calendars, infographics, and other creative materials to communicate the UN’s mission across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Design themes, infographics, layouts, and document covers for campaigns and reports.
• Create graphic templates, newsletters, brochures, posters, and interactive presentations.
• Prepare files for high-quality printing and ensure consistent branding.
• Produce animations, short videos, and maintain the UN photo/video library.
• Provide photography and videography support for events and activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required (Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is an advantage).
• At least 2 years’ experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or CorelDraw.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of another UN language is a plus.
