PalmPay, a leading Africa-focused fintech firm launched in 2019, is expanding its team in Ikeja, Lagos. The company is looking for a Collection Agent to support its financial operations by helping recover overdue payments and negotiating repayment plans with clients.
Job Summary
As a Collection Agent, you will handle client communication regarding outstanding overdrafts, suggest repayment solutions, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth financial operations. Your role will help PalmPay minimize losses and sustain customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the company’s debtor list regularly.
- Contact customers with overdue bills and advise on repayment options.
- Negotiate realistic and suitable payment plans.
- Maintain up-to-date customer payment records.
- Prepare financial statements for banks and credit departments.
- Issue final warning notices and escalate unresolved debts.
- Collaborate with lawyers and insurance agencies when required.
- Respond promptly to customer payment-related queries.
Requirements
- B.Sc, HND, or ND in Accounting, Business Management, or related fields.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of debt collection laws and repayment plans.
- Proficiency in office and accounting software.
- Patience, resilience, and attention to detail.
