- Be a resident citizen of an African Union or African Commonwealth member state (Mauritian nationals are NOT eligible).

- MPhil/PhD applicants: not older than 40 years by 1 Jan 2027.
- Must have applied for or obtained admission to a full-time, on-campus programme at a public HEI in Mauritius for 2026.
- Applications must be submitted through your country’s Nominating Agency; direct applications are not accepted.
