Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Recruitment – Assistant Imam (Tradesmen / Women) Role

Overview: The Nigerian Air Force is inviting applications for enlistment into Basic Military Training Course 46 / 2025 for the role of Tradesmen / Women – Assistant Imam. This is a nationwide recruitment for qualified candidates who meet the educational, age, and medical standards set by the NAF.


Role & Category

The role: Tradesmen / Women – Assistant Imam (Category: Air Traffic Services). This role supports religious duties and welfare alongside NAF’s operational structure.

Key Requirements

  • Possess NBAIS, NCE, or Diploma certificate from a recognised Nigerian training institution in one of: Arabic & Islamic Studies, Arabic Language & Literature, or Sharia Law.
  • Have a minimum of 5 credits (including Mathematics and English) in not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/NBAIS.
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 27 years at the time of application (Tradesmen/Women bracket).
  • Be a Nigerian citizen, single, and have no children.
  • Meet minimum height standards: males ≥ 1.66m, females ≥ 1.63m.
  • Be medically, physically and psychologically fit to NAF standards.

🧾 Documents To Prepare (For Submission & Interview)

  • Two recent passport photographs.
  • Original & photocopy of Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
  • Original & photocopy of educational / trade certificates (NBAIS / NCE / Diploma).
  • Original & photocopy of WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB results.
  • Original & photocopy of Indigeneship Certificate (Local Government/State of Origin).
  • Local Government Area Attestation Form (signed by authorised officers as specified).
  • Any other relevant credentials requested on the portal.
Insight: Ensure your Local Government Attestation is signed by an authorised officer (e.g., Wing Commander or equivalent, CSP police, substantive LGA Chairman/Secretary, or Magistrate) and comes with a photocopy of the signee’s ID.
